FAQ
Do Hop Drops contain alcohol?
Hop Drops flavor essence is non-alcoholic and is designed to give you the flavor of hops without the buzz of alcohol.
Can Hop Drops be stored at room temperature?
Hop Drops are shelf stable and can be stored at room temperature. However, once opened, store your Hop Drops flavor essence in the fridge to preserve flavor and prevent spoilage.
How do I keep my Hop Drops fresh?
Oxygen is the enemy of hops! For the longest lasting flavor and aroma, refrigerate Hop Drops after receiving and between uses as lower temperatures reduce oxidative reactions.
When serving, avoid bubbling air into the essence by squeezing the air out of the dropper outside of the bottle before inserting.
After serving, drink hop water while fresh or store in the fridge to prevent oxidation of hop compounds and microbial growth.
Do Hop Drops contain propylene glycol like other sparkling water essences?
No! Unlike typical essences designed for making flavored sparkling water, Hop Drops do not contain propylene glycol and instead use sunflower lecithin, a natural ingredient derived from sunflowers.
Why do Hop Drops make my water appear cloudy or hazy?
That's the hops! Hop Drops contain millions of microscopic droplets of hop aroma and flavor oils. Just like in a hazy IPA, these oil droplets can make the water appear slightly cloudy.
Are Hop Drops only good for making hop water?
While Hop Drops flavor essence was designed with hop water in mind, it can also be used to add hop flavor to any beverage. Try Hop Drops in your favorite kombucha or in place of bitters when making mocktails (or cocktails).
Embrace your creative side and try adding Hop Drops to anything that you think could use a blast of hop aroma and flavor. We'd love to hear what you do with them!
Where are Hop Drops made?
Hop Drops are thoughtfully crafted in small batches in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains.
I ordered the West Coast. Love these. I can control how strong I want my hop water based on my mood at the time! Definitely will be trying the other flavors.
What a great idea and great execution! touched to dial in your exact mix to taste but even the slightest amount provides a nice hoppy nose to your beverage, with more drops adding deeper flavor. I’ve even added this to still water for a little pop. And as I’m writing this wonder how this might work in beer to alter the flavor profile, drinking experience and enjoy ability of “lesser” beers when they’re the only option. Sounds like an experiment worth tackling! Cheers!!
I’ve honestly never written a product review before, but I enjoyed Hop Drops – West Coast Style enough that I felt compelled to finally write one.
One of the biggest reasons I like this product is how simple and effective it is. I can add a few drops to plain seltzer water and instantly get a full hop flavor and aroma. I’ve recently cut back on drinking beer, but I still miss it, and this absolutely scratches that itch. The hop character really comes through, both in taste and scent.
I’ve tried other hop waters in the past, and most of them come in variety packs with fruit flavors. I usually end up tasting the fruit more than the hops, which isn’t what I’m looking for. With Hop Drops, I clearly taste the Simcoe and Centennial hops, which is exactly what I want from a West Coast–style hop profile.
Another big plus is the price. Other hop waters are often close to the same cost as buying beer, which makes them hard to justify. With Hop Drops, I can add them to my own seltzer water and get way more value for the money while still enjoying a true hop-forward experience.
If you like hops, miss beer, or just want a clean, flavorful alternative without fruit or sugar, this is absolutely worth trying.
Full of flavor, and the aroma is great every time I open the bottle. Very easy to use, with no residue or mess. Even the bottle feels high quality. Will definitely buy again
The aroma upon opening the container was amazing. Pure Centennial and Simcoe, much like opening a new bag of hops, but with a little brewery aroma from the other ingredients. I might like this more than the Hazy, and I really like the Hazy
